The East London Health & Care Partnership brings together the area’s eight councils and 12 NHS organisations, who are combining their expertise and resources to ensure health and care services meet the needs of local people, now and in the future.
With a shared goal to help people live healthy and independent lives, our mission is to protect vital services and provide everyone with the best possible treatment and care when they need it.
While east London as a whole faces some common problems, such as a high rate of preventable illnesses, the local make up of and characteristics of the area vary considerably.
We are therefore shaping what we do around three localised areas, bringing the councils and NHS organisations within them together as local care partnerships to ensure the people living there get the right services for their specific needs:
The Partnership as a whole will drive forward the things that can only be achieved by all of the councils and NHS organisations across east London working together.
This includes the recruitment and retention of key staff, making best use of buildings and facilities and providing specialist clinical treatments.
