£250,000 to be invested in a Health Careers Hub in North East London
North East London Health and Care Partnership has been chosen to create a new Health Hub which will support 750 Londoners from underrepresented groups to access jobs and skill opportunities in health.
We already have a lot of work underway to make this happen and the £250,000 boost, thanks to the Mayor of London’s Academies Programme, will help us build on and expand this to help even more local people into employment and jobs with strong futures.
By removing barriers in recruitment, developing career pathways for skilled people, and raising awareness of jobs and routes into health careers hundreds of people from our area will secure a job in health that not only supports their career but also helps to support people in north east London to live healthier, happier lives.
Across our local NHS and local authority employers we have already identified and ring-fenced vacancies, committed job opportunities, and have a commitment to fill vacancies with underrepresented groups. People who live in north east London and want to make the most of these opportunities will need to register with the Health Hub once it us up and running. In the meantime please visit our careers website or contact samson.agboola2@nhs.net to find out more.
