Barking & Dagenham Council are looking for care assistants at Kallar Lodge Care Home

The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham are currently looking for a number of new care staff to join their team at Kallar Lodge Care Home, which provides support to adults over the age of 65 and specialises in caring for people living with dementia.

In this role, you will be supporting residents to participate fully in every day life and encouraging them to join in with activities and provide care and companionship at its best. The role will include following a care plan and assisting with personal hygiene, nutritional intake and providing social and emotional support.

If you have a genuine caring attitude and are dedicated to enabling older people to maintain their independence and retain choice and control, then this may be the role for you!

You will need to be flexible, hardworking, have effective communication skills and be able to work in a team and independently with compassion and a drive for excellence at all times. While some experience in caring for older people is desirable, formal care experience is not necessary as full training and support will be provided.
